How it works

No surprises. Here’s exactly what happens.

I built the Score so you always know what’s coming, and so does your team. Start with your own view in three minutes. When you’re ready, ask your whole team, confidentially, and turn what they tell you into small experiments for the next 90 days.

Your report arrives with my written read, and we book our call.

Based on the default two-week survey. You can choose anything from 7 to 28 days.

Step 1 of 9 · Free

Start with your own view

Ten questions about how your organisation works today. It takes about three minutes on your phone or laptop, and your indicative score, band and three lenses appear straight away. No email needed to see them.

  • Your score out of 100 and your band, from Bottlenecked to Self-Evolving
  • Action, ownership and innovation: where you’re strongest and where you’re stuck
  • A full Snapshot PDF by email, if you’d like one
Take the Snapshot

Your own view. Useful, but it’s one view.

Step 2 of 9 · Pay once

When you want the real picture, ask your team

The Team Score asks everyone, confidentially. Choose it on its own, or with a Debrief, where I read your results myself and we talk them through. You pay once per survey, set by how many people you invite. No subscription.

  • Team Score: your report, a team playback kit and a 90-day experiment tracker
  • Team Score + Debrief: all of that, plus my written read and a 60 to 90 minute call

Went without the Debrief? Add it up to 60 days after your report.

Step 3 of 9 · About 15 minutes

Set it up in about fifteen minutes

Give the survey a name, choose how long it stays open, then add your team’s work emails: paste them in or upload a CSV. Before you launch, you can preview exactly what they’ll receive.

You can also answer the same 40 statements the way you think a typical team member will. It’s optional, and it’s the part founders tell me they learn most from.

  • Open for 7 to 28 days; two weeks suits most teams
  • At least five people, not counting you or anyone helping you run it
  • Addresses outside your email domain? We check the list first, usually within one working day

Step 4 of 9 · About 10 minutes each

Your team answers, confidentially

Everyone gets their own private link by email. Forty statements on eight short pages, about ten minutes, on any device, with no account to set up.

Reminders go out automatically to anyone who hasn’t finished: on a two-week survey, on days 5, 10 and 12. Nobody gets more than four. You can see who has completed, so you know whether a word from you would help.

You see who has finished. Never what they said.

Step 5 of 9 · Day 14 by default

It closes. Five people is the floor.

On a two-week survey it closes on day 14, or sooner if everyone has answered. We never show a result from fewer than five people. It’s how answers stay confidential, and it isn’t negotiable.

At the close date:

  • Five or more, and at least 60% of your team: it closes and your report is on its way.
  • Five or more, but under 60%: a little more time, or your report comes with a short note about the response rate.
  • Fewer than five: you can extend by a week, up to twice. If it still doesn’t reach five, there’s no report, and we’ll talk about a credit to run it again.

Step 6 of 9 · Usually within 2 working days

Your report, checked before it reaches you

When the survey closes, the Score does the maths and groups the comments into themes, with names taken out. Liberty Mind checks every report before it’s released, and we’ll email you as soon as it’s ready: on screen, and as a PDF of about 15 pages.

What’s inside

  • Your overall score out of 100, and your band
  • The eight dimensions, strongest to weakest
  • Action, ownership and innovation: the three lenses
  • You vs your team, if you made your predictions
  • Themes from comments, with names taken out
  • Strengths to protect, risks to fix first, and where I’d start

Your score and band, in one minute

One number out of 100, the band it puts you in, and what that band means for your team right now.

Action, ownership and innovation: the three things founders tell me they want more of.

Step 7 of 9 · Team Score + Debrief

The Debrief: I read it with you

If you choose the Debrief, I read your results and your team’s comments myself (never anyone’s individual answers), write down what I see, and we talk it through on a 60 to 90 minute call, starting with where your view and your team’s differ.

I aim to have your report and my written read with you within 10 working days of the close. Chose the Team Score on its own? You can add the Debrief up to 60 days after your report.

  • What I see, in plain words
  • Patterns worth naming
  • Three experiments for the next 90 days
  • What to protect, and a recommended path

Step 8 of 9 · The next 90 days

Play it back to your team, then try something small

Your team told you the truth, so show them you heard it. The playback kit gives you a two-page summary that’s safe to share and an eight-slide deck with notes for running the conversation. Your own predictions stay out of it unless you choose to include them.

Then pick two or three small, safe-to-try experiments. The tracker suggests some for your two priorities (with the Debrief, you start with my three), and checks in with you at day 30, 60 and 90.

Step 9 of 9 · 90 days on, or when you’re ready

Run it again and see what moved

Re-run the Team Score with the same questions and your new report shows what has changed since last time, dimension by dimension. You can run it again 90 days after your last one, which lines up with your experiments.

That’s the loop: ask, listen, try something small, and check it worked.

Same questions, so the change is real.

Confidential by design

Honest answers need a safe place to land

How confidentiality works
  • Five or more, always

Nothing is shown from fewer than five people, and there’s no report at all below five.

  • No individual answers

Nobody sees what one person said. Not you, not your co-admins, and not me.

  • Names out of comments

Comments come back as themes with names taken out, and only when at least three people raised them.

  • Nothing while it’s open

You see who has completed, never what anyone said, and no results until the survey closes.

Questions

Good questions to ask first

Is it really confidential?

Yes. Each person answers through their own private link. You can see who has completed, so nobody has to chase, but never what anyone said.

We only show combined results once at least five people have answered, comment themes need at least three people behind them, and names are taken out before anything reaches you. Not even I can see who said what.

What's the difference between the Snapshot and the Team Score?

The Snapshot is ten questions for you, the founder. It takes about three minutes and gives you an indicative read straight away, free.

The Team Score asks your whole team forty questions, confidentially, and scores your organisation across eight dimensions. You also predict how they'll answer, so you can see where your view and theirs differ.

How long does it take my team?

About ten minutes each, on any device, with no account to set up. The survey usually stays open for two weeks, and we send gentle reminders for you so you never have to chase.

What if we're fewer than five people?

Then the Team Score can't keep answers confidential, so we won't run it. Take the free Snapshot instead, or book a Power Hour with me and we'll work through where you are together.

Is this a psychometric test?

No. It's a conversation-starter, not a verdict. It reflects how people saw things when they answered, and it must never be used to make decisions about anyone's job, performance or pay.

What happens after I get my results?

You get a clear report, a playback kit to share the headlines with your team, and a 90-day tracker for the small experiments you decide to try.

If you choose the Debrief, I read your results myself, write up what I see and walk you through it on a call. Either way, a free 30-minute call with me is always on offer.

How much of my time does it take?

About 15 minutes to set up, plus about 10 more if you make your predictions. After launch there’s nothing to chase: reminders go automatically, and you can check who has completed whenever you like.

Can I change how long it stays open?

Yes. Choose anything from 7 to 28 days when you set it up; two weeks suits most teams. While it’s open you can extend it twice, by a week each time, or close it early once at least five people, and at least half your team, have answered.

Can I add people after launch?

Yes, up to the size of your plan, while the survey is open. You can also remove someone who hasn’t completed yet.

What does my team need to take part?

Just their work email. Each person gets their own private link: no account, no password, nothing to install. It works on a phone, tablet or laptop, and takes about ten minutes.

What if some people use a personal email address?

That’s fine. Any address outside your organisation’s email domain means we check the list before the invitations go out, so nobody outside your team can fill a seat. It usually takes one working day.

Who else sees the results?

You, and a co-admin if you add one, for example someone from HR. A co-admin can’t also take part in the survey. Nobody sees anyone’s individual answers, including me.
